VARK Results

Today in my tutorial lesson I took a VARK test. This test is used to see what type of learning style an individual has. The results are categorised into five types; Visual, Aural, read/write, kinesthetic, multi-modal.
The score that was assigned to me was mostly visual points:
  • Visual - 10
  • Aural - 1
  • Read/Write - 2
  • Kinestethic - 5
I feel these results are correct, because in my previous studies I have often used videos to research and learn topics. One of the traits of being a visual learner is that hand gestures are used a lot when communicating with people, especially when trying to get a point across; I've noticed I do this very often! When writing reports I also tend to include a lot of graphs and diagrams, in these parts I usually achieve a good mark, it is the actual writing of the report I sometimes struggle with. I will definitely need to improve my reading and writing skills in order to gather the information I need from text books/ journals for my research. I will do this by trying to read more books (not necessarily relevant to my course).
